ABOUT THE ART
Zhaabwii means to, pass through, achieve something or survive. The Boundary Waters are part of the ancestorial waters of the Ojibwe people. Like in its sister piece, Gakiiwengie, I revisited memories of an Ojibwe person paddling through waters and travelling on footpaths parallel to their ancestors' centuries before them.

PROCEEDS from the sale of this print art are donated equally between these Minnesota aid organizations:
Friends Of The Boundary Waters
Honor the Earth
Save the Boundary Waters
