“Wiigwaas-Birches No.1” is the first in a series of images with birch trees as a central character. This piece is painted with acrylics, many metallic acrylic paints, and iridescent paints to capture light from any angle. This piece was first exhibited during the “Birches and Cattails” exhibition at the AICHO (American Indian Community Housing Corporation) Dr. Powless Cultural Center Gallery in Duluth, Minnesota.
