ABOUT THE ART
Growing up on the Lake of the Woods, I have had many mornings sitting in a canoe, on the dock, or on the shore watching the sunrise over the water. I couldn’t be more thankful to grow up in that environment. I went to the BWCA for the first time in college, and I was stunned by scenery in front of me. In this piece, I wanted to translate those childhood memories into the scenery of the Boundary Waters.

My name is Ronnie Stallman, a northern Minnesota based artist and early childhood educator that is inspired by wildlife, landscapes and vintage illustration.
