ABOUT THE ART: My mom has chickens in Iowa and I always found chickens to be really cute but what makes them even more cuter is chickens wearing boots. Thought it would be a nice touch to add a corn stalk in the back as homage to back at home in Iowa.

Meet D Guzman

D Guzman is a Minneapolis based Latinx illustrator/designer. She graduated from Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a BFA in illustration. D is interested in editorial illustration, children's books, product/package illustration design and mural work. She loves to include botanical pieces, women of color, a warm palette and textile elements in her illustrations.

Her illustration clients include Pollen Midwest, Target, Lil’ Libros, Modist Brewery, United We Dream and Song Tea & Poke. D has featured her work at Light Grey Art lab, Family Tree Clinic and Sociable Cider Werks.
