I made this in a moment of rage thinking about the trauma, destruction, and terror ICE has wrought in our beautiful state. The loon has been such a powerful symbol of Minnesota’s resistance that I knew I wanted to feature one in this piece. Minnesotans may be nice, but we are also fierce.
Amy Teawalt is a visual artist based in . Her work primarily focuses on the natural world, and is brought to life via collage, printmaking, illustration, and design. When she isn’t in the studio, Amy enjoys participating in community theatre productions, singing, and spending time with her husband and dogs.
