"We Will Not Be Silent" illustrates the resistance of Minnesota against ICE occupation. The North Star, the colors, and the skyline of St. Paul and Minneapolis are all represented. The red hooded figures are a call back 1940s when Norwegians made red hats as a from of protest against Nazi occupation in their city. Within 2 years, the Nazis made these protest hats illegal and punishable by law to wear, make, or distribute.
